Procon Modular acquires majority stake in Healthmatic Ireland and Healthmatic Modular UK
Irish modular construction leader combines with UK specialist to create enhanced volumetric capability across both markets
Acquisition overview
Ireland’s leading modular manufacturing company, Procon Modular, has acquired a majority shareholding in Healthmatic Ireland and Healthmatic Modular UK. As a result, this brings together complementary strengths in 3D volumetric modular construction.
The acquisition unites two proven capabilities. First, Procon’s track record in delivering large-scale modular projects across Ireland. Second, Healthmatic Modular’s established UK manufacturing operation and market presence.
Healthmatic Modular operates from a 60,000 ft² factory in Knighton. The facility serves the UK market with volumetric modular buildings. Meanwhile, Healthmatic Ireland is the leading provider of public access facilities and services in Ireland.
Strategic Benefits
Eoin Daly, Managing Director of Procon, said:
“This acquisition strengthens our technical capability in volumetric modular construction. Moreover, it gives us an established platform in the UK market. Healthmatic has built an excellent reputation for quality delivery. Therefore, combining this with Procon’s experience in complex modular projects creates significant opportunities for both organisations.”
Healthmatic’s Capabilities
Healthmatic Ireland has specialised in high-quality public access facilities. These include toilets, Changing Places, and associated infrastructure management services. Consequently, this enables public bodies to improve service quality while reducing costs.
In addition, Healthmatic Modular’s UK factory provides proven manufacturing capability in volumetric construction. The operation is supported by an established client base and strong delivery track record.
Piers Dibben, Managing Director of Healthmatic, said:
“Partnering with Procon provides access to their depth of experience in modular construction. Furthermore, it opens up opportunities for growth that would not have been possible independently. Their commitment to quality and programme delivery aligns perfectly with how we have built Healthmatic. I am excited about what we can achieve together.”
Future opportunities for modular
The combined operation will leverage Procon’s expertise in programme management and quality systems. At the same time, it will draw on Healthmatic’s UK market knowledge and manufacturing infrastructure.
This positions the group to pursue larger and more complex volumetric modular projects. These opportunities span both the UK and Irish markets, particularly in public infrastructure and facilities.
