Our modular public toilets provide a safe and clean environment for the toilet user which has all the durability required for a public facing toilet and can be cleaned efficiently as many times per day as required. They are an essential toilet system for most environments, including a busy town centre, in green space or on the edge of a car park.
Healthmatic design public toilets to fit the environment both in terms of numbers of users as well as the streetscene and local civic architecture. They can be installed in singles or as a number of cubicles. Prior to the design stage, we will sit down with the client to discuss requirements, or if there is already an existing toilet, we can install footfall counters to identify the actual usage.
The cubicles can be different sizes for DDA compliance and adjusted for other, such as baby changing and sharps bin. The interior is light and airy with a portico style window with reinforced vandal proof doors.
Access is managed via paddlegates, contactless payment or coin payment system, or simply by time of day. The interior is vandal resistant with an easy clean interior to make your clients happy.
It is possible to house our cubicles in buildings of just about any style. We have our in house design team, who can produce buildings to your specification, or we construct to your design. The objective is always to produce a public toilet building which is fit for purpose as well as complimenting the local environment.
Access can be via a managed door or paddlegate.
The buildings are typically clad in GRC, brick, tile, or glass. Roofs are often tile, slate, and more recently green.
It is often best to employ our design team from the outset of a project. This will often be the most cost effective way of designing a building which will be efficent to construct and fit for purpose.
The many different requirements of user groups and locations mean that toilets need to be designed carefully to suit the environment. It is stating the obvious but there is no point installing a 24 hour toilet in a children’s park, nor installing a non 24 hour outside a nightclub.
Most current toilets can be adapted to accommodate direct access toilet cubicles which can be for “changing places”, disabled access, unisex or gender specific.
The advantages of this approach include costs, in terms of both a new build and utilities, and the reduction in possible planning issues with a site.
The toilet can be fitted with a modem connected to head office which is aware of all activity, including cleaner and engineer visits. We have installed these toilets for over 100 Local Authorities including Cotswold District Council, Bath, Torbay, North Somerset, and York.
