The Semi Automatic Public toilet provides a safe and clean environment for the toilet user which has all the durability of a public facing toilet and is cleaned manually and easily by a designated person as many times as is seen necessary.
They are useful toilet system for most environments, including a busy town centre where there is a high turnover of people with a low vandalism rate, in green space or in a car park.
The toilet can be installed in singles or as a number of cubicles. The cubicles can be different sizes for DDA compliance and adjusted for other, such as baby changing and sharps bin. The interior is light and airy with a portico style window with reinforced vandal proof doors.
They have a timed entry system, with a modem connected to head office which is aware of all activity, including cleaner and engineer visits. The interior is vandal resistant with an easy clean interior to make your clients happy. We have installed these toilets for over 100 Local Authorities including Cotswold District Council, Bath, Torbay, North Somerset, and York.
The Semi Automatic are best located in town where there is a busy stream of people that pass through, ideally in a town with busy shops or in a busy car park.
They can be used to deal with night time economy issues, but will need to be visible and regularly checked. The DA1 automatic toilet can suit the night time better.
Cleaning & Maintenance
These are low maintenance toilets as there are no moving parts within the cubicle itself. There will be inevitable blocked drains and attempted vandalism which will need the attendance of an engineer from time to time.
The cleaning can be performed according to the local requirements and will vary from once to four times per day. Unlike traditional toilets, there are no nooks and crannies to clean, and the majority of the process is one swish of the mop from front to back into the large drainage channel.
The doors can be automatically opened and shut via timer switches. This reduces substantially the costly exercise of employees roaming the area to manage the procedure manually.
