Indoor People Counters

The level of use of an indoor area, building or entrance is key information for the manager of the space.  From this data, they can allocate the space and resources required to both correctly maximise the benefit and minimise the necessary expenditure associated with a space.

Examples of this would be:

  • Public Toilets or Libraries
  • Retail Space
  • Outdoor Centres

Passive Infra Red Sensors (PIR) – Pinpoint
The main type of counter used for interior counting will be the Pinpoint PIR beam.  This will measure the usage across an entrance or corridor efficiently and accurately for relatively low cost.  This is integrated with the communicator, which then sends the information into the cloud to be accessed by the relevant desktop.

Communicator
The communicator, our G Node,  will store the timestamped data being collected and then at a routine time/day,  send the data over either local WiFi, our radio network, or via GPRS, to the cloud and onto our server.

Web Display and Output
The client will then access the data via their dedicated portal on the website, and the data can be downloaded into a spreadsheet and integrated into whichever package the client requires.
